-Personality-
Courteous and polite, Kouden is a wolf of simple pleasures with only one goal - leave things better than he found them. He is not particularly social for a wolf, but his inquisitive nature tends to lead him to seek out the company of others regardless. He is willing to listen and speak to anybody, and tries to see the good in the darkest hearts. Kouden is not violent, and would rather talk his way out of trouble or flee than fight. The only exception is if he's defending someone or something he cares about - undyingly loyal, Kouden will spill his own blood eagerly before allowing a single drop of it to be drawn from his friends. He values family and the bonds of friendship above all else, and is a firm believer that Pack is all that matters. Which is kind of ironic, as he's a nomad.
He's a rather level-headed individual, not prone to panic or fits of anger. He tries to keep a clear, rational mind, but he has a weakness for the plight of others and can be easily manipulated. In some ways, he's rather naive, which wouldn't be expected given how far-travelled he is and how much of the world he has seen and experienced. Kouden is a benign free spirit, never staying in one place long, driven by wanderlust all around the world. Despite being a carnivore, Kouden is perfectly civil with prey animals as well as other predators and feels honor-bound to not slay any beast that's willing to entertain his prescence. This strange softness for a predator has lead to Kouden almost exclusively being a scavenger - he will not take the life of any living thing unless he is desperate for food, or must do so in defense of himself or someone else. He sees it as wasteful to leave a carcass to rot, though - and will eat past herbivore friends as well as other canines unless he feels they'd be insulted by the practice. He has a strange relationship with death and mortality.

Kouden is a large male wolf, with an impressively thick and shaggy coat of fur. His build is robust and powerful, though his legs seem a little longer than those of the average dire, his head a little more gracile. His fur is unusually marked for a wolf - in three colors of brown, black and white. His head, tail, hind legs to the knee and spine are all black. A white "collar" of fur bisects his thick mane and runs along his belly, his hind toes, and up his forelegs to the elbow. His pelt is so heavy that even though he has several scars, only one is visible - the mark of a saber's bite upon his right shoulder. This too will likely become covered in fur with time.
Beneath his thick fur, Kouden is actually rather slim, though his silhouette appears very heavyset. This in part is owed to his unusual diet - as Kouden does not hunt, he relies instead on scavenging and is prone to missing meals.
Kouden's canines are slightly longer than a normal dire's, barely protruding from his lip. This and his tall, sleek build are probably due to the Armbruster in him.
The inner side of Kouden's ears are the same coffee-brown as his base pelt coloration.
