Description: Tatsuo has a thick brown coat with a creamy underfur, striped with black on his legs and face while a large splotch of black lies on his back. With short but strong legs, he's a good climber and swimmer, and is better at ambushing than pursuing prey for a long amount of time. His teeth are fairly short and thick, making them dangerous weapons. Three feathers are tucked in the thick fur behind his left ear. Tatsuo has green, slitted eyes, and a long tail.

Tatsuo tries his best to be a calm and docile feline, tending to be understanding and gentle around others. He is protective over those he considers close and trustworthy allies, however the machairodus only believes in fighting if it is absolutely necessary. He will fight strong when he must, but don't expect violence to be the first thing he thinks of when confronted with a challenger.
Although he is friendly to most he meets, Tatsuo is careful of those he decides to trust if they become a regular visitor to him. Due to past experiences with loved ones, he has mostly been wary of allowing himself to become too comfortable and protective over others, however he is now trying to allow himself to acknowledge his feelings and accept them instead of pushing them away., if he is to see someone as more than just an ally.
Tatsuo loves to travel and explore new lands, since he has been doing it for many years. The machairodus does not really plan on settling down somewhere, therefore leading him to steer away from joining coalitions, or just large groups of animals in general.
History
Tatsuo was born into a rather large tribe of machairodus kabir that resided next to a waterfall. He grew up jealous of his brother, for their parents had elected him as future leader of the tribe, after their father. The male became unfeeling as he aged with his anger and would now do anything for power. This lead to him murdering his own parents and framing his brother,
exiling him to make himself the tribe's new leader. Over time, the tribe members began to question both this murderous happening and Tatsuo's leadership, eventually leading to
his brother to prove himself innocent and for Tatsuo to be executed, but the machairodus was able to flee.
With no desire or need to control anymore, he became a neutral-minded wanderer and one
day stumbled across a cub machairodus, Sargon. He watched over the cub for some time before being confronted by a dark eusmilus, who kidnapped the two and lead them to their dark homelands. The leader, Somnus, imprisoned the cub and enslaved Tatsuo. After being held there for a long time (and changing his mind about how he would now act, making him regret his past actions, for he no longer wanted to be so greedy and selfish now he could see it for himself), he managed to escape and met up with Sargon, but was devastated to find his dead body later on near a river. Tatsuo left this land to get away from the grief.
Tatsuo went on to travel around various lands, and ended up staying in Florite plains for a while, which was where he met a fair amount of other animals. First off was Flint and Nuru, a smilodon and a vulture who seemed to be looking for a group of 'painted lions'. Tatsuo spent a while next to the smilodon's side, as they shared the encounters of both a mysterious ghost and a huge purussaurus. To the amusement of Tatsuo, he was able to witness and assist in Flint's unique and numerous ways of hunting: disguising herself as a plant. Tatsuo met Kivuli and Zicara in the plains and then wandered off with Flint to say their last goodbyes. Tatsuo was gifted the feathers of Nuru from Flint, and the two left for their homelands since Zicara had reported of dark times back there.
Shortly after departing with Flint, Tatsuo ran into another smilodon, this time around his own age. She showed him around the plains for a while, and then the two met up with the eusmilus Kivuli again. The three planned an ambush, and after eating their meal, Kivuli ran off without a word. Confused by this, Moja and Tatsuo were left with suspicious views of the young nimravid.
They then took a short trip up to a nearby forest, and rested for a while. Tatsuo left Moja in the forest, and, even though it was intended as a short break away from her, he crossed paths with the stern and intimidating kelenken, Wasp. After a tedious talk to the bird and a warning about a pride named 'The Silvestres' from them, Tatsuo returned to the forest to meet up with Moja again. But the smilodon was nowhere to be seen.
For countless days, Tatsuo wandered around in search of the smilodon, eventually discovering many new lands. He favorited one locally dubbed 'Eastern Pass' and it was if a miracle happened when he found Moja in a sorry state. After comforting his friend, the machairodus left briefly to catch some food for the sick and injured Moja.
The two slept pacefully, with Tatsuo leaving once again the following night to find more prey. He encountered a miniature smilodon, who gave him directions to where a gazelle herd had been spotted. Although the prey animals were not where the stranger had pointed out, Tatsuo came across them soon enough by following their scent trail. Along with finding his targets, he picked up the scent of an eusmilus, who reluctantly offered him assistance in hunting the gazelle.
