The cheetah was born beside the Eastern Sea, on its sandy banks. She lived in peace with her Clan, rarely causing any trouble, mostly only when adventuring with other cubs her age. Ever since birth, she, while calm and neutral to most of the world, was a curious and a rather daring cub. Often persuaded by her friends, she got into various escapades, ranging from pranking the Clan's Alpha male into eating frogs, to barely escaping unscathed from an agitated glyptodon.
:Coming of age:
Just like every other cub in the Clan, soon it became Calgari's turn to pass the coming of age ritual, or, how it's called in her tongue: "Miglas ceļš", translating to
"Mist road". As soon as a cub in the Clan reached the 12th moon, they were given a choice, in which nobody else could help. The cub had a choice to either stay with the Clan and become a true soldier under the Alpha's paw or leave the Clan lands and never return. Alpha feared that if the cub decided to leave, their blood was impure and so they were prone to deception and might threaten the Clan.
Calgari was given the same choice. She could see the hope in her parents' eyes. So, when Alpha asked the young feline what she would do, Cal spoke surely and quietly "I'm going." Nothing else. She took to her paws and left her Clan forever, not turning back to see the rays of disappointment stabbing her back.
:Lazarus Peninsula:
Ever since arriving in this land, Calgari was perplexed by its lush and green plains, perfect for a cheetah to reside in. After a bit of wandering about, she claimed a den near the mountain and has been residing in it ever since. There her plan began to take form.
On a nightly hunting trip Calgari encountered a paranoid cheetah who wouldn't and couldn't serve as a start for the goal she hoped to achieve. On the same night she met a rather pleasant civet who would make an appearance for many times after this.
In a few days Calgari was met with two cats, one who was a cub and sought refuge, named Kioo, the other one who was a part of the pride living near her. While at first aggressive, the felines soon passed the first hostility and Calgari gained friends. The cub hinted upon having nowhere to go, so the cheetah offered her a place in the den. The other cat, a smilodon named Ashlan would often come and visit Cal, and the visits usually turned out to be extremely pleasant.
After a few peaceful days had passed, a gray eusmilus mix showed up seeking a cub-killer named Maura. Cal couldn't provide him with any information, Ashlan on the other hand could. In gratitude, the gray feline, going by the name of Rixos offered them his catch - a three-toed horse carcass.
That night the Alpha of the forest pride decided to show up, but she wasn't the smilodon Calgari had thought her to be. The cat was confused and forgetful. Even Ashlan seemed to be confused by this. (Left at that moment so I have no idea what happened)
The following night was one Calgari had not witnessed in a long time. A spirit had decided to visit them. The ghost, while not speaking his name, left a print of the fact that he had been here that night. While Kioo and Cal could see him, Anthea didn't seem to possess that ability.
A few days passed in peace. One night a dinofelis cub from Silvestre pride showed up at their doorstep. Kioo had met the cub earlier and that was the only reason, Calgari didn't pick him up and drag him back to the camp. Instad, she let the cub stay for the night, praying the Yuura wouldn't flay her for keeping a cub of theirs in her den.
Soon Kioo reached her 14th moon and was ready to learn hunting. Calgari took her out and taught her everything she needed to know, and thanks to her own skills, Kioo made her first kill!
In a few days, the cheetah was greeted with a pleasant surprise. Ash had returned. Stuff happened. Cal finally confessed her love to the smilodon and, no matter the opposition from her friends, they are currently mates.
The opposition has been cleared and for now the pride is at peace with everything and everyone.
