Name meaning: Stripe
Gender: Female
Species: Haast's eagle
Age: 7 and a half

Markings: She's got a tail with two thick stripes on it, white wings and a
big white spot stretching from from the neck down to her tail.

Personality
Taeka likes to spit out rude comments sometimes. She can easily be rude even to her
family or closest friends. She likes to think of herself as mean, rude, awesome, and very
good at a lot of stuff, but she's really a lot softer than she wants to admit.
Dislikes: She dislikes creatures that live on the ground. The reason why is
nothing more than that she thinks they don't appreaciate flight. She absolutely loves
flying and wants everyone to love it too. The creatures she hates the most cause of this
reason is flightless birds. She thinks it's awful that they claim to be birds, but can't even
fly. There are some exceptions to her hate though. Equines and very small animals
just makes her feel like they are okay. Sometimes also specific felines.
Likes: Taeka absolutely loves flying. It's her favorite thing to do. Just gliding around
and looking at the world below her makes her happy and forget her problems.
She also loves hunting. She loves the thrill of the hunt and especially the feeling of
piercing her talons into the prey's body. Recently she has found out that she really likes
it when someone nozzles into her feathers, but she does NOT want anyone to know.

Backstory
Taeka was a maori on New Zealand in her early years. She hunted moa and generally had
a good life. One day she was out hunting in her usual hunting area, she met a male eagle that
started chatting with her. The two of them gradually became friends as he also hunted in the
area and they often met. After a while, Taeka began thinking of him as her best friend. They
started hunting together, flying around together and overall just being together like friends.
She started trusting him as one often would when befriending someone and therefore didn't
think he would hurt her at all. One time they were out flying, the male eagle suddenly pulled
out one of her tail feathers. Taeka was confused and rudely asked him "What the hell was that?!"
The male didn't respond, but as Taeka's tail still was in his reach, he attempted to pull out
another one. Taeka tried to defend herself and ask what was going on, but the male never
responded. He wouldn't stop so it came to that Taeka flew away. He chased her all the way
to the beach and out over the sea. When they were a distance from land he finally flew back.
After a while Taeka flew back too, only to be met with him again that once again chased her
out to the sea. This continued many times before Taeka tried to fly in at other places of the
island, but no matter where she went, she was always chased back to the sea. She managed
to find a stone that was tall enough to land on without getting wet. She needed to rest. After
a long rest she tried once more to get back to the mainland, but she was chased back, and
this time there were many eagles. They all kept shouting "Get out" and forced her to flee New
Zealand for good. She flew over the ocean. Sometimes landing on small island and sometimes
bigger islands until she finally reached a continent. Taeka kept being a traveler and ended up
traveling all over the world, no longer only hunting moa. After some years she ended up in Lazarus.
